The method comprises the following steps: sampling discrete data by using the character generator; carrying out curve fitting on the sampled data by utilizing the character generator so as to draw the time-sharing tendency chart; and replacing a preset template primitive by the drawn time-sharing tendency chart so as to generate a graphic play primitive. The drawing completed by the character generator can be played together with subtitle, so the real time property of using the character generator to draw the chart is higher than that of computer drawing. Furthermore, for the graph drawn by the character generator, the definition of the graph displayed on a television picture is higher than that of the computer drawing.
