The method comprises: a terminal acquiring an uplink synchronization adjustment amount of an auxiliary carrier timing group, a specific performance parameter of each carrier in the auxiliary carrier timing group being in a set range; the terminal performing uplink synchronization adjustment on a carrier in the auxiliary carrier timing group according to the uplink synchronization adjustment amount. By means of the present invention, uplink synchronization is performed on each carrier in the auxiliary carrier timing group in a mode of the group, so that the problem that it is difficult to realize uplink synchronization in a multi-carrier application scenario is solved, and it is ensured that signals of carriers of a multi-carrier terminal can simultaneously reach a base station when each carrier sends an uplink signal, thereby ensuring the service between the base station and the terminal.
