<heading lvl="0">Abstract of Disclosure</heading> An integrated suite of services for consumers, service providers and manufacturers in the pharmaceutical industry is disclosed. The present invention utilizes one or more of the NCPDP standard formats and adopts the switch for an integrated system of, for example, instant adjudication of prescriptions, consumer data warehousing and/or incentive rewards for the consumer. A participating consumer with one card, can instantly purchase pharmaceuticals and charge the transaction to a credit card and earn and apply savings dollars redeemable for pharmaceutical purchases. For a participating service provider, instant adjudication and instant validation of consumer eligibility can be performed. Moreover, a service provider may receive messages related to the patient's medications. Significantly, data is recorded for consumers even when consumers make the pharmaceutical purchase with cash. The system includes a unique card issued to participating consumers. The card is adapted to encode conventional credit or debit card information specific to the participating consumer so that the consumer can consummate a transaction for the purchase of pharmaceuticals without possession of an additional credit card. The system further includes a host processor coupled to the point of sale at the service provider through a leased line or public switch network or the like. When a customer performs a pharmaceutical transaction at the point of sale of the service provider, the host processor coordinates any benefits and data with other prescription benefit management systems through messages transmitted and received from any primary or secondary carrier systems. The host processor further is adapted to facilitate real-time adjudication of claims and checks for any dangerous drug-to-drug interactions. The host processor additionally facilitates any financial processing including the accumulation and redemption of any bonus dollars earned by the consumer. Furthermore, since the card used by the consumer can be encoded with credit or debit card information, the host processor determines the desired payment method and performs the actual financial transaction. Even if the transaction at the point of sale is a cash purchase, the consumer may desire to use his unique card for the accrual of bonus dollars. Therefore, data concerning the transaction (i.e., pharmacy number, prescription number, etc.) can be recorded even for transactions conducted with cash.

A system and method for providing user-initiated vehicle diagnostic testing and reporting in a telematics-enabled vehicle. In the method, a request for a vehicle diagnostic test is received from the driver through a user interface of a telematics unit on the vehicle. A simplified initial diagnostic check is made and a first voice message is played for the driver that provides information concerning any detected vehicle problem. The method then undergoes a more complete diagnostic check and the resulting diagnostic information is used to select and play a second voice message that provides instructions for taking corrective action to fix the detected problem. A loop carrier system includes a home local area network having plural telephone modules and a hub coupled to in-home telephone wiring. The telephone modules and the hub communicate voice signals over the in-home wiring in a dedicated frequency band above baseband POTS. The present invention also relates to a method for producing porous carbon-based molded bodies by carbonizing organic polymer materials, the carbon-based molded bodies being partially oxidized following carbonization so as to produce pores. In addition, the present invention relates to porous molded bodies produced according to one of said methods and the use thereof, especially as cell culture carriers and/or culture systems.

A method for transmitting and receiving data over a shared access carrier network with a plurality of user devices is provided. The user devices each have a modem associated therewith and a network interface for communicating over a local network. The method begins by transmitting a query from each one of the user devices over the local network requesting remaining ones of the plurality of user devices to specify available resources pertaining to shared access carrier network connectivity capabilities of the modem associated therewith. A reply is received over the local network in response to the query from each of the remaining user devices. Based on the replies from each of the remaining user devices, at least one of the user devices is selected to serve as a master device that provides connectivity to the shared access carrier system through which the other of the plurality of user devices transmit and receive data.

The invention provides an attitude estimation method of a maneuvering acceleration-assisted extended Kalman filter (EKF) attitude and heading reference system (AHRS). The state quantity of the EKF contains an error of three attitude angles, a null bias error of a three-axis gyroscope and a three-axis carrier maneuvering acceleration error of a carrier system, and the observed quantity of the EKF contains a three-axis acceleration error and a three-axis earth magnetic field error. A strapdown attitude algorithm and the nine-state EKF algorithm are subjected to data fusion to acquire attitude estimation of the AHRS. A single-axis turntable experiment, a vehicle-mounted dynamic experiment and a flight experiment prove that the maneuvering acceleration-assisted nine-state EKF data fusion algorithm has stable attitude angle accuracy under different maneuvering conditions, and the mean square deviation of the attitude angle can be limited within 2 degrees.

The UE receives acknowledgement (ACK)/not-acknowledgement (NACK) for the uplink data on a downlink carrier associated with the uplink carrier.
