Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a transflective mode conversion method and a liquid crystal display panel, relating to the field of manufacturing of a liquid crystal display, wherein aperture ratio of the liquid crystal display and optical efficiency utilization rate are improved by regulating voltage and converting a transflective mode of the liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal display panel comprises an upper polarizer, a lower polarizer, a second substrate arranged below the upper polarizer and a first substrate arranged above the lower polarizer, wherein a reflection polarizer is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate; a first liquid crystal layer is arranged between the first substrate and the reflection polarizer, and a second liquid crystal layer is arranged between the reflection polarizer and the second substrate; and a first electrode is arranged between the lower polarizer and the first substrate, a second electrode is arranged on the reflection polarizer, and a third electrode is arranged between the second substrate and the upper polarizer. The embodiment of the invention is applicable to transflective mode conversion of the liquid crystal display.
