Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a system for constructing a data forwarding plane of a virtual router. The method for constructing a data forwarding plane of a virtual router is implemented based on a VLAN (virtual local area network), and comprises the following steps that: a physical router acquires information (for establishing the data forwarding plane of the virtual router) sent by a virtual net management center so as to generate the virtual router, distributes a first link identifier to a first link between each line processing card and the virtual router, and respectively distributes a second link identifier to a second link between the line processing cards and the line processing cards, so that the life cycle of the data forwarding plane of the virtual router begins. According to the invention, the purpose that the data grouping is performed without changing the data structure thereof in the data forwarding plane and forwarding process of the virtual router with a guaranteed bandwidth is achieved, and the support of a common Ethernet switch board card on the virtualization technology is realized.
