The present invention further provides a mobile equipment including a transmitting unit, which is configured to transmit messages to a base station; a receiving unit, which is configured to receive messages from base stations, and a handoff unit, which is configured to perform handoff based on network performance and signal strength according to the messages from the base stations. Additionally, the present invention provides a corresponding handoff method.
