The traditional Chinese medical decoction is characterized by being prepared with the following raw materials by weight: 6-14 parts of angelica sinensis, 4-6 parts of radix rehmanniae, 8-17 parts of citron, 5-9 parts of raw radix astragali, 2-4 parts of herba epimedii, 4-8 parts of herba cistanche, 12-16 parts of immature bitter orange, 5-10 parts of rheum officinale, 14-20 parts of radix bupleuri, 4-8 parts of hawthorn, 3-6 parts of fructus forsythiae, 8-18 parts of scaphium scaphigerum, 8-18 parts of fructus mori albae, 6-16 parts of semen cassiae, 5-20 parts of walnut kernel, 5-20 parts of ficus carica, 15-20 parts of basella rubra, 4-8 parts of raw polygonum multiflorum, 2-4 parts of cynomorium songaricum, 9-15 parts of radix paeoniae alba and 5-16 parts of lumbricus. The 21 raw materials are mixed, soaked in water and decocted, and filtrate is obtained by removing residues. The traditional Chinese medical decoction is used for treatment of diabetic constipation of the elderly and has the advantages of high curing rate, less recurrence, no toxic or side effects and low cost.
