Abstract

The invention discloses a grading design method of a skeleton dense structure for a grading macadam base. The method comprises: using a dynamically controlled classification criteria for coarse and fine aggregates proposed by a Bailey method to classify particle sizes of the coarse and fine aggregates, with the coarse aggregates being used as skeletons and the fine aggregates being used as filling materials; using a graded embedding method to design the coarse aggregates, determining a coarse aggregate proportion by using a California bearing ratio and a frame gap rate as design specifications; and calculating an amount of the fine aggregates according to a coarse aggregate skeleton gap under the proportion of the coarse aggregate after the coarse aggregate skeleton part is designed, wherein a calculation method can refer to a calculation method of the fine aggregates in the Bailey method, and in order to ensure adequate filling, a tight-packing density is selected as a design density for the density of the fine aggregates. The graded gravel design method provided by the invention can meet engineering requirements, and is operable and relatively perfect, so that the graded gravels are guaranteed to have relatively good mechanical properties and endurance, thereby not only providing technical supports for application of the graded gravels, but also providing references for improvements of relevant norms.
