Abstract

Provided is an electronic device and a control method thereof. The electronic device comprises a sensor plate, a proximity sensor, a controller and an adjustable antenna element. The proximity sensor is coupled to the sensor plate and is used for detecting a capacitance value between the human body and the sensor plate. The controller is coupled to the proximity sensor and generates a first control signal according to the capacitance value. The adjustable antenna element is coupled to the controller and comprises a main radiating part, a plurality of adjusting parts and a plurality of switchers. The switchers are respectively coupled between the adjusting parts and the main radiating part, and selectively connect or do not connect the adjusting parts and the main radiating part according to the control signal so as to correct an operation frequency band of the adjustable antenna element. When the human body is close to the electronic device, the electronic device can correct the operation frequency band according to the position of the human body so as to maintain good communication quality.
