The method comprises the following steps that the network management equipment determines at least one of the following measurement configuration parameters: the maintenance entity group end point (MEP) identity (ID) of a source end, the remote MEP (RMEP) ID of the source end, the RMEP media access control (MAC) address of the source end, the RMEP MAC address of a host end, the MEP direction of the source end, the MEP direction of the host end and active/passive parameters of the source end; and the network management equipment configures the at least one measurement configuration parameter, which is determined, to at least one of the source end and the host end so as to facilitate the network performance measurement of the at least one of the source end and the host end.
