Abstract

The invention discloses a method and device for accelerating starting of an electronic device (especially a computer device) and a system (especially an operating system). The method comprises the following steps that when the electronic device is started, a pre-read thread is established and is utilized for starting to read pre-defined pre-read data for starting the operating system from a disk of the electronic device; the pre-read data read by the pre-read thread are cached into an internal storage of the electronic device to be read when the operating system is started; in the process of starting of the operating system, the pre-read data are read continuously through the pre-read thread, and when a request for reading the data from the disk is received from the operating system, the pre-read thread stops reading within the pre-defined time quantum.
