Abstract

The invention provides a method and a device of searching based on category, and aims at solving the problems of complex searching method, long time taken and low efficiency in original category search. The method comprises the steps that a search request sent by a user in a platform, wherein the search request comprises a search keyword; global categories in a global category library are matched by using the search keyword so as to obtain first matched categories, and a first similarity of the search keyword and the first matched categories is calculated, wherein categories defined in the platform are taken as the global categories and stored in the global category library; the personalized information of the user is obtained, the first matched categories are matched secondarily based on the personalized information so as to obtain second matched categories, and a second similarity of the second matched categories and the search keyword is calculated; and the first matched categories are ranked according to the first similarity and the second similarity before feedback.
