[0023] The bitumen in the bituminous composition of the present invention may be residuum from crude oil distillation, natural bitumen, or a blend of various bitumen types. Examples of bitumen which may be conveniently used in the present invention include: distilled or "straight run" bitumen, precipitated bitumen such as propane bitumen, naphthenic bitumen or mixtures thereof. The bitumen in the bituminous composition can be prepared by blending the bitumen with a bitumen thinner oil, such as an aromatic, naphthenic, or paraffinic bitumen thinner oil. The penetration of the bitumen at 25°C (measured according to EN1426) is preferably 50-200. Abstract

The invention discloses an asphalt composition, including the following components in percentage by weight: (a) 50-70 wt% of asphalt; (b) 15-30 wt% of granular rubber; (c) 5-8 wt% of high-molecular polymers; (d) 1-3wt% of additive, dispersing agent and stabilizer; (e) 3-10 wt% of diluent. Compared with the prior art, the polymer and the granular rubber are dispersed and merged uniformly with the asphalt, to express beneficial viscoelasticity and storage stability. When in use, the asphalt composition expresses good mobility, high solidified elasticity and high strength properties. The invention further discloses a preparation method of the asphalt composition.
