Embodiment Construction

[0040] image 3 An electrical device 1 capable of monitoring individual electrical consumption is shown. For clarity, image 3 is simplified and omits some conventional components in the device. Specifically, the single phase conductors are shown and the neutral conductor is not shown.

[0041] The electrical device 1 may belong to a final electrical consumer and be located in a building such as a personal house or an apartment or an office building, where there are a number of different loads to be supplied and where electrical power distribution is to be performed.

[0042] The electrical installation 1 conventionally comprises a main upstream line or incoming feeder 2 and a set of individual electrical power distribution branches 3 connected to the incoming feeder 2 . The branches 3 supply loads 4 corresponding to the building equipment.

[0043] The device 1 is connected to an A.C. or D.C. current power source 5 through an incoming feeder 2 . The power source 5 may sp...

Abstract

To determine a power consumption in a group of individual electric power distribution branches (3), a method includes the steps of: a) measuring the current (I) flowing in a main upstream line (2) and the voltage (U) of the main upstream line; b) measuring the voltage (Ui) of at least one branch, downstream of a circuit breaker (7) equipping each branch (3); c) determining the current (Ii) flowing through the branch based on the difference (ΔUi) between the upstream-downstream voltages; d) calculating the individual power consumption (Pi′) of the branch from the current and the voltage of the branch; e) calculating the general power (P) consumed by the group of branches from the current and the voltage of the main upstream line; and f) correcting (F6) the individual power consumption (Pi′) so that an instantaneous electric power consumption variation observed at the level of the branch (3) is equal to an instantaneous electric power consumption variation simultaneously observed at the level of the main upstream line (2).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method of determining individual power consumption in an electrical installation comprising a group of branches for individual distribution of electric power between a plurality of loads, and connecting this group of branches to a main upstream of an electrical power source line. [0002] The invention also relates to a system for monitoring individual power consumption in electrical equipment. Background technique [0003] Individuals, as well as other economic agents, are showing increasing interest in controlling their own electrical consumption. The axis of this control relies on detailed knowledge of the different specific power consumptions in the overall power consumption. For example, occupants of houses may be interested in their electrical consumption due to heating, dedicated to lighting, and / or due to such and such equipment, while at the individual house scale Knowledge consumed in general cannot satisfy them....
