Abstract

A saturable reactor having a simple structure comprises a closed-loop iron core (3). Coils L1 and L2 are respectively disposed on two iron core limbs of the closed-loop iron core, and the quantities of the turns per coil are the same. Dotted terminals of the coils in the two iron core limbs are connected to a terminal I (1), and resistors R1 and R2 are respectively connected between non-dotted terminals of the coils in the two iron core limbs and a terminal II (2), and the resistance values of the resistors are the same. One resistor R1 is connected in parallel to a positive thyristor D1, and the other resistor R2 is connected in parallel to a reverse thyristor D2.
