Embodiment 1

[0026] figure 1 Represent the front view of the corrugated horn feed source in the embodiment of the present invention, figure 2 It shows the top view of the corrugated horn feed source in the embodiment of the present invention.

[0027] combine figure 1 with figure 2 As shown, the corrugated horn feed in the embodiment of the present invention includes a mode converter. The mode converter is used to convert the master mode TE 11 mode conversion to the main mode HE in the horn waveguide 11 mold and then radiate out from its orifice. The structure of the mode converter is in the shape of a trumpet, and the inner wall has radial straight grooves 11 in the form of corrugations.

[0028] A plurality of excitation diaphragms 10 are arranged on the inner wall of the mode converter, wherein the plurality of excitation diaphragms 10 are located on the same aperture surface for exciting the high-order mode HE 21 mode, when propagating to the orifice of the mode converter, the...

Embodiment 2

[0043] An antenna is provided in an embodiment of the present invention, specifically a single-offset parabolic antenna with poor cross-polarization characteristics. The antenna adopts the corrugated horn feed source in the first embodiment.

[0044] The corrugated horn feed reduces the cross-polarization level of the asymmetric plane of the single-offset parabola antenna by introducing a high-order mode, thereby effectively improving the cross-polarization performance of the single-offset parabola antenna.

Abstract

An antenna and a corrugated horn feed source thereof. The corrugated horn feed source comprises a mode convertor, wherein the inner wall of the mode converter is provided with a plurality of excitation films, and the plurality of excitation films are located on the same aperture plane and are configured to excite a higher-order mode. At an aperture of the mode convertor, the relative amplitudes and the relative phases of the higher-order mode and a main mode satisfy a pre-set relationship. The technical solution reduces the cross polarization level of asymmetrical planes of a single-offset parabolic antenna by introducing a higher-order mode which is undesirable ordinarily, thereby effectively improving the cross polarization performance of the single-offset parabolic antenna.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of communication, in particular to an antenna and a corrugated horn feed source thereof. Background technique [0002] The single-bias parabolic antenna has the advantages of high aperture efficiency, low sidelobe, and good electrical isolation between the feed source and the reflector because it avoids the feed source shielding, so it is widely used. However, because the offset plane structure destroys the symmetry of the antenna structure, the single-offset reflector antenna has a serious disadvantage: it causes an increase in the cross-polarization value. That is: when the reflective surface is illuminated by a feed with good linear polarization characteristics, the radiation field of the antenna shows poor cross-polarization characteristics on the asymmetric plane, which is not allowed in satellite communication antennas. It is for this reason that the practical application of single-biased parabolic an...
