According to the scheduling method for firewalls, the gateway GPRS support nodes (GGSN) assign IP addresses to active users for activating sessions under the packet data protocol (PDP). The GGSNs select one firewall out of at least two firewalls according to the polling mechanism and the user assignment histories of the at least two firewalls. After that, the corresponding relationship between IP addresses and the selected firewall is established. The invention solves the capacity bottleneck problem of Gi firewalls in the prior art.
