Abstract

The invention relates to an image-based communication method and apparatus. The method comprises the following steps of detecting whether a preset communication trigger condition is satisfied when a target person image is presented; when the communication trigger condition is detected to be satisfied, determining the contact information of a target contact corresponding to the target person image according to a preset binding record; calling a preset communication application and initiating communication to the target contact according to the contact information. The apparatus comprises a detection unit, an information determining unit and a communication initiation unit. By means of the method and the apparatus, a user can rapidly contact a person in an image when browsing the image. The user is not required to perform a series of complex operations including exiting from the image browsing application, starting a communication application, searching for the contact and initiating communication.
