Abstract

The disclosure relates to a caching management method and system. One embodiment of the invention provides a caching management method which comprises the following steps of determining the type of caching entries responding to a condition that the caching entries are established; determining an estimated time point of a failure event related to the type, wherein the occurrence of the failure event causes the invalidation of the type of the caching entries; and setting an effective period of the caching entries based on the estimated time point. The disclosure further describes a corresponding system.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments of the invention relate to methods and systems for cache management. Background technique [0002] Caching refers to storing previously accessed content in a local storage location, allowing a quick response to subsequent access requests for the same content. Cache technology is widely used in various fields such as computer processors, storage systems, data systems, and network applications. For example, in a network environment, web pages or other network content previously visited by a user may be cached locally on the client. When the user visits the previously visited web page again, the cached web page can be directly read and returned from the local storage, thereby shortening the response time and reducing the consumption of network bandwidth resources and server computing resources. [0003] Dealing with cache invalidation is an important issue in cache management. Cache invalidation means that the cached content is inconsistent...
