Abstract
An apparatus and operation method for quickly forming anammox particles using a quorum sensing mechanism are related to the field of wastewater treatment. The invention is directed to an apparatus and operation method for quickly forming particulate sludge via anammox. The apparatus comprises a body reactor, a signal molecular generator, a spherical thin-shell rotary cover, a spherical screen, a manual rotating switch, a ball valve I, a ball valve II, a heating tape, and a temperature control probe. The signal molecular generator is added into the body reactor, signal molecules diffuse in the body reactor so that anammox flocculating sludge quickly forms particulate sludge, and the activity of anammox bacteria is significantly improved while the particulate sludge is formed. The method for implementation according to the invention is simple, has significant effect, is widely applicable to anammox sludge granulation and is effective in improving practical application of anammox process.
