Problems solved by technology

[0014] However, the mask has the disadvantage
If the user tightens the mask attachment system too much, the hollow, flexible seal squeezes against the face, which obstructs the passage of exhaled air
On the other hand, if the user does not fasten the attachment system sufficiently, there will no longer be an ideal seal between the face and the skirt, creating a risk of water entering the lower or upper chamber, which is undesirable

Embodiment Construction

[0089] figure 1 An example of an embodiment of a diving mask 10 consistent with the present application is given. The diving mask 10 includes a frame 12; the frame 12 is generally rectangular in shape and has an upper part 12a and a lower part 12b.

[0090] In this example, the frame 12 comprises an upper portion 14 constituting an upper rim, and a lower portion 16 constituting a lower rim.

[0091] The upper portion 14 and lower portion 16 of the frame are secured to each other to form a rim around the user's face.

[0092] Diving mask 10 also includes a panel 18 secured to frame 12 . In this example, the panel 18 is made of a rigid transparent plastic material.

[0093] by means of figure 1 It should be understood that the frame 12 surrounds the panel 18 . The mask also includes a purge valve 17 for evacuating any water that may have entered the mask.

[0094] In addition, the diving mask 10 comprises a vent tube 20 having a lower part 20a connected to the upper part 1...

Abstract

The invention relates to a diving mask (10) comprising: a visor (18) attached to a frame (12); a flexible shell having a wall that defines a top vision chamber and a bottom chamber for breathing; and a snorkel (20) having an inhaled-air inlet channel and at least one exhaled-air outlet channel. Said snorkel extends away from the top portion of the frame. The inhaled-air inlet channel leads into the top chamber while the first exhaled-air outlet channel is in communication with the bottom chamber. According to the invention, the frame is rigid, and at least one first inner duct for the exhaled air is provided in the frame (12). Said first inner duct has a top end, leading into the exhaled-air outlet channel, and a bottom end that is in fluid communication with the bottom chamber.

Description

technical field [0001] The present application relates to the field of diving masks, and in particular to masks for "snorkeling". Background technique [0002] The snorkel allows observation of aquatic life while swimming on the surface. Therefore, the snorkel must be able to keep the head underwater while breathing. [0003] Typically, snorkelers are equipped with a mask for viewing and a snorkel for breathing. A snorkel is a tube whose lower end is equipped with a mouthpiece that fits into the user's mouth, and whose upper end allows both fresh air to enter and exhaled air to exit. [0004] It is well known that such equipment has a number of drawbacks. First, some people have difficulty breathing through the mouth through the snorkel because breathing through the mouth is unnatural. Another flaw is the inability to converse underwater while wearing a snorkel. [0005] A further disadvantage with respect to the use of face masks is that the inner walls of the panels a...
