The invention discloses a smart home system. The smart home system includes a control end, a smart home gateway and home appliances, wherein the control end, the smart home gateway and the home appliances are electrically connected with one another; the control end comprises a smart sensing module, a smart terminal, a server, an IPAD, a smart phone and a computer; and the intelligent home gateway includes a central control center as well as a communication module, a control module and an expansion module which are all electrically connected with the central control center, wherein the central control center is provided with a built-in Z-wave module, the communication module includes an Ethernet module, a WIFI module, a GPRS module and a sub-network penetrating module, the control module includes a smart plug-in socket, a smart valve mechanical arm, a smart motor control module and a smart lamp light control module, and the expansion module includes an RS232 bus interface, a USB interface, a JTAG interface and an intelligent cloud platform interface.
