The intelligent windshield wiper comprises a rainfall sensor, a windshield wiper driving control module, a main controller and a power source, wherein the rainfall sensor comprises an infrared transmitter, an infrared receiver, a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor; the windshield wiper driving control module is used for driving the windshield wiper to work; the input end of the main controller is electrically connected with the rainfall sensor through a data bus, and the output end of the main controller is electrically connected with the windshield wiper driving control module; and the power source provides electric quantity for the main controller, the rainfall sensor and the windshield wiper driving control module. The main controller collects temperature and humidity at the outer side of a car, the temperature and humidity is compared with a threshold value obtained from plenty of experiments, and whether the windshield wiper can be frozen on a windshield or not is judged; if the windshield wiper can be frozen on the windshield, the windshield wiper driving control module is controlled to enable the windshield wiper to leave the surface of the windshield through output signals of the main controller; if the windshield wiper can not be frozen on the windshield, normal working is continued; and the rainfall is judged by the main controller according to collected signals of the infrared transmitter and the infrared receiver, and the working frequency of the windshield wiper is adjusted. By means of the intelligent windshield wiper, the smartness of the car windshield wiper is enhanced, and the windshield wiper can be prevented from being damaged by frost.
