Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a system for testing a software defined packet transport network. The method comprises steps: a service message with a destination receiver as a second target tested device is sent to a first target tested device in the software defined packet transport network; a service opening instruction for the first target tested device and the second target tested deviceis issued to a software defined packet transport network controller in the software defined packet transport network; and according to the issuing time of the service opening instruction and the timeof receiving the service message in the second target tested device, the performance of the software defined packet transport network is determined. Through calculating the time difference between the service opening instruction issuing time at a user side and entry into force time of service between the software defined packet transport network devices as a main index for service opening performance test, the test result accuracy can be ensured.
