Abstract

The invention, which relates to the field of intelligent gateways, discloses a method for controlling a home appliance by an intelligent gateway so that a user habit matching problem in the home appliance control process based on the intelligent gateway in the smart home system can be solved. Therefore, a home appliance control mode is selected intelligently based on a behavioral habit of a user,so that a home appliance housekeeper customization effect is provided for the user. Besides, problems of over-fitting, omission, and unreadable reasoning in the prior art also can be solved. All sensors works independently and thus home appliance switches can find out true factors affecting the own states and thus control modes are extracted; and the extracted control modes are stored in the intelligent gateway by means of a naive Bayesian classifier model. When a new environmental parameter value is obtained, the naive Bayesian classifier model stored in the intelligent gateway is used for reasoning of the new environmental parameter value and thus a proper home appliance control command is provided.
