Abstract

Embodiments of the invention provide a method and a system for reducing a peak-to-average ratio of a multi-carrier frequency signal in a multi-carrier frequency system. The method comprises the stepsof: sampling multi-carrier frequency signals transmitted in the multi-carrier frequency system to obtain a plurality of sampled multi-carrier frequency signals, wherein each sampled multi-carrier frequency signal comprises a plurality of sub-carrier frequency signals; and adjusting the amplitude and phase of partial sub-carrier frequency signals in each sampled multi-carrier frequency signal to reduce the peak-to-average ratio of the multi-carrier frequency signal and ensure the achievability of the multi-carrier frequency system. By improving the reserved subcarrier method and adjusting the amplitude and phase of partial sub-carrier frequency signals in each sampled multi-carrier frequency signal, the method and system provided by the embodiments of the invention is capable of more effectively reducing the peak-to-average ratio of the multi-carrier frequency signals and ensuring the achievability of the multi-carrier frequency system.
