Embodiment Construction

[0020] The application will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings.

[0021] figure 1 It is a schematic diagram of a DCI (DC Connection, data center interconnection) scenario. Such as figure 1 As shown, this scenario includes two data centers: DC1 and DC2. DC1 and DC2 are interconnected through two ED groups. ED group 1 of DC1 includes two edge devices: ED1 and ED2, and ED group 2 of DC2 also includes two edges. Equipment: ED3 and ED4. As an ED group, ED1 and ED2 have a group address (such as 2.2.2.2) as a whole, and ED3 and ED4 as an ED group have a group address (such as 3.3.3.3) as a whole. The traffic between DC1 and DC2 can be load-shared between the two EDs in the ED group; at the same time, if any ED in the ED group fails, such as ED1 in ED group 1, it can pass ED2 in ED group 1. Carrying traffic originally forwarded through ED1 improves reliability.

[0022] It is understandable that in the DCI scenario, each device can communicate based on an IP (In...

Abstract

The invention provides a route management method. The method is applied to a first ED (Edge Device) of a first DC (Data Center). The first ED and a second ED belong to an ED group. The method comprises the steps of receiving a fault advertisement message sent by the second ED, wherein the fault advertisement message is used for indicating that a fault occurs in a VXLAN (Virtual Extensible LAN) tunnel from the second ED to a third ED, the third ED is the edge device of a second DC, and the fault advertisement message carries an address of the third ED; for a received IP/MAC (Internet Protocol/Medium Access Control) advertisement route which takes the address of the third ED as a next hop, modifying a next hop address of the IP/MAC advertisement route as a private address of the first ED, and forwarding the modified IP/MAC advertisement route to a VTEP (Virtual Extensible LAN Tunnel End Point) device in the first DC; and enabling the VTEP device in the first DC to generate a forwarding table entry based on the modified IP/MAC advertisement route and forward a message sent to the second DC through the first ED based on the generated forwarding table entry.

Description

Technical field [0001] This application relates to the field of communication technology, and in particular to a route management method and device. Background technique [0002] Under the current background of cloud computing, the rapid and optimal scheduling and deployment requirements of enterprises for resources have brought great challenges to the decentralized and independent DC (Data Center, data center) architecture. In order to better realize the integration of resources, multiple traditional isolated DCs can be integrated through ED (Edge Device) to become a distributed data center, so that resources can be fully utilized. [0003] In order to improve the high reliability of ED, the solution of ED group is introduced. An ED group can include at least two EDs; if any ED in the ED group fails, the traffic originally forwarded by the failed ED can be switched to the same ED group. On other ED. Summary of the invention [0004] This application provides a route management me...
