Embodiment 2

[0485] 2) Embodiment 2: UE mobility configuration command process

[0486] This embodiment proposes a new procedure by which, separate from the registration (update) procedure / TAU procedure, the network can trigger to change the UE mobility management behavior when the network wants. The UE mobility configuration command procedure can be used for the transmission of policy information and mobility-related configuration as described in Embodiment 4 later, and thus can also be called the UE configuration update procedure.

[0487] Figure 23 is a diagram illustrating a method for updating UE configuration according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0488] refer to Figure 23 , the network (eg, AMF) determines whether UE mobility management (ie, access and mobility related parameters) needs to be changed.

[0489] The network may determine whether a specific UE's mobility-related configuration needs to be changed for various reasons (eg, policy changes, changes in t...

Embodiment 3

[0500] 3) embodiment 3: the embodiment of merging embodiment 1 and embodiment 2

[0501] The new command in embodiment 2 (mobility configuration update command message in embodiment 2) can be defined as a different term (for example, UE configuration update command message).

[0502] Hereinafter, the mobility configuration update command message is described as a UE configuration update command message.

[0503] In addition, the UE Configuration Update Command message can be used to trigger UE registration update and to configure the mobility parameters described in Embodiment 2 (e.g. mobility restriction information (e.g. non-allowed / allowed TAs (or registration areas)) .

[0504] That is, if the network (i.e., AMF) wants to update parameters / information that the network does not need to negotiate with the UE, the network may only include the desired parameters / information in the UE Configuration Update Command message and send the UE Configuration Update Command message to ...

Embodiment 4

[0512] In addition to mobility management, the new commands proposed by the present invention (eg, UE configuration update command or UE mobility configuration update command) can be used to update other UE information.

[0513] That is, this command can be used to update the UE Routing Policy (URSP) in the policy control function. In this case, upon receiving the UE policy information from the PCF through the N15 interface, the AMF may update the UE's URSP information using a new command (eg, UE Configuration Update Command or UE Mobility Configuration Update Command) procedure.

[0514] Here, URSP may include SSC mode selection policy (SSCMSP), network slice selection policy (NSSP), data network name (DNN) selection policy and / or non-seamless offload policy.

Abstract

A method and device for updating UE configuration in a wireless communication system are disclosed. Specifically, a method for updating a configuration of a user equipment (UE) through an access and mobility management function (AMF) in a wireless communication system includes the steps of: determining whether the configuration of the UE needs to be changed without a request from the UE ; and when the configuration of the UE needs to be changed, a UE configuration update command message is sent to the UE, wherein the UE configuration update command message includes updated UE parameters.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method for updating UE configuration and a device supporting the method. Background technique [0002] Mobile communication systems have evolved to provide voice services while maintaining user activity. However, the service coverage of mobile communication systems has even been extended to data services as well as voice services, and currently, the explosive growth of services has resulted in insufficient resources and user demands for high-speed services, requiring advanced mobile communication systems. [0003] The requirements of the next-generation mobile communication system may include supporting huge data services, a significant increase in the transmission rate of each user, a significant increase in the number of connected devices, very low end-to-end delay, and high energy efficiency. To this end, various technologies such as small cell enhancement...
