Background technique [0001] As the use of peripheral devices (eg, low power sensors) expands, more software programs are being written for communicating with these peripheral devices. These peripherals use low-level communication protocols such as Integrated Circuit Bus (i.e., IC 2 C or I2C) protocol) to communicate with a controller such as an Internet of Things (IoT) device. A low-level communication protocol typically includes a defined series of operations that must be performed to read data from or write data to a peripheral device. For example, reading a data value from a sensor typically includes five or six defined operations that must be performed via a low-level communication protocol in order to effectuate the reading.
