The invention provides a file storage method of a distributed storage system. The file storage method comprises the following steps: receiving a storage request; the storage request comprises at least one of a file storage demand, a block storage demand and an object storage demand; determining a corresponding data layer in data layers of a storage cluster according to the storage request; the data layer comprises a file storage pool, a block storage pool and an object storage pool; and executing a corresponding file storage operation in a storage pool of the data layer according to the storage request. According to the method, the files, the objects and the block services are expanded in the same cluster according to needs, a standard protocol interface is provided for upper-layer applications to use, unified storage pool management is provided, attribution of bottom-layer resources is dynamically adjusted according to service data needs, and the management complexity and the maintenance cost are reduced.
