Abstract

A vehicle headrest assembly includes a portable media device and a frame assembly, including an inner frame, attached to a vehicle headrest. The system includes a locking mechanism configured to secure the portable media device within the inner frame and further configured to release the portable media device from the inner frame.

Furthermore, travelers have become accustomed to using cell phones and email during travel. The dockable media system 10 includes a portable media device 12 attached to a frame assembly 14. The portable media device 12 preferably includes a viewing screen 15, such as an LCD screen. The frame assembly 14 includes a locking mechanism 16, which secures the portable media device 12 to the frame assembly 14, and is operable to release the portable media device 12 from the frame assembly 14 when a user activates a releasing feature.
