[0002] This application claims priority to and the benefit of Korean Patent Application No. 10-2023-0077172 filed in the Korean Intellectual Property Office on June 16, 2023, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Technical Field

[0003] The present disclosure relates to a refrigerant cycle device for a vehicle, and more particularly, to a refrigerant cycle device for a vehicle that is included in an air conditioning system for cooling and heating the interior of a vehicle applied to a special purpose vehicle (PBV) and is capable of minimizing the use of pipelines while improving the installability of each component. Background Art

[0004] The vehicle industry has introduced new concepts of future mobility vision to realize a dynamic, human-centric future city.

[0005] One of these future modes of travel is a purpose-built vehicle (PBV).

[0006] PBV is an environmentally friendly mobility solution that provides passengers with the customized services they need while traveling to their destination on the ground, and can use electric vehicle-based artificial intelligence to set the best path for each situation and plan and execute platooning.

[0007] For example, a PBV may be a transportation vehicle and a fixed facility with related technology, and because it has autonomous driving capabilities, a separate driver's seat may be unnecessary. In addition, its interior space may be expandable.

[0008] In some cases, PBVs can perform the role of shuttles that move large numbers of people, and can also be transformed into entertainment spaces such as restaurants, cafes, hotels, and movie theaters, as well as basic facilities such as hospitals and pharmacies.

[0009] In some cases, a PBV may be driven by an electric motor and may include a skateboard-like rolling chassis (referred to in the art as a lower body or skateboard chassis) and an upper body that may carry passengers, wherein batteries are distributed over the lower portion of the rolling chassis.

[0010] In some cases, when the PBV includes an air conditioning system for controlling the indoor temperature of the upper body, it may be difficult to position components included in a refrigerant cycle device of the air conditioning system in a narrow installation space, and the layout of pipes through which the refrigerant flows may become complicated.

[0011] Furthermore, due to the limitation of the installation space of the rolling chassis, some components of the refrigerant cycle device may be installed on the upper body, and thus the inner space of the upper body is reduced.

[0012] A technology mounted on a rolling chassis can simplify the piping of refrigerant cycle equipment and facilitate modularity. Summary of the invention

[0085] By operating at least one valve 130 according to a heating mode or a cooling mode of the vehicle, the first heat exchanger 122 , the second heat exchanger 124 , and the third heat exchanger 126 may be selectively supplied with the refrigerant from the compressor 110 .

[0086] As an example, when the refrigerant is supplied from the compressor 110 to the first heat exchanger 122 , the refrigerant passing through the first heat exchanger 122 may be introduced into the second heat exchanger 124 or the third heat exchanger 126 .

[0087] In some embodiments, the at least one valve 130 may include a first valve 132 and a second valve 134 .

[0088] The first valve 132 and the second valve 134 may be connected between the compressor 110 and the first heat exchanger 122 , the second heat exchanger 124 , and the third heat exchanger 126 through the fluid line 102 to allow the refrigerant supplied from the compressor 110 to selectively flow into the first heat exchanger 122 , the second heat exchanger 124 , or the third heat exchanger 126 .

[0089] In some examples, the first valve 132 and the second valve 134 may control the flow movement of the refrigerant or selectively expand the introduced refrigerant.

[0090] That is, the first valve 132 and the second valve 134 may control the flow movement of the refrigerant introduced from the compressor 110 or the at least one heat exchanger 120 , and selectively expand the introduced refrigerant and flow the expanded refrigerant to the at least one heat exchanger 120 .

[0091] The first valve 132 and the second valve 134 may be mounted on an outer surface of the second fluid manifold plate portion 164 .

[0092] In some embodiments, each of the first bracket 152 and the second bracket 162 may be provided with at least one bushing unit 170 to minimize transmission of vibration generated by the compressor 110 , the at least one heat exchanger 120 , or the at least one valve 130 to the vehicle body.

[0093] That is, the bushing unit 170 may minimize the transmission of vibration generated by the compressor 110 to the vehicle body frame through the first bracket 152 and the second bracket 162 .

[0094] The bushing unit 170 may include a vibration isolator 172 and a stud 174 .

[0095] First, the outer circumference of the vibration isolator 172 may be vulcanized and bonded to a bushing hole formed on each of the first bracket 152 and the second bracket 162. The vibration isolator 172 may be formed in a bridge shape and a column shape having a through hole, and its material may be composed of a rubber material.

[0096] Furthermore, the outer periphery of the stud 174 may be vulcanized and bonded to the center of the vibration isolator 172 and fastened to the vehicle body frame.

[0097] Therefore, when vibration in a vertical direction is generated from the compressor 110 , the vibration isolator 172 may absorb the vertical vibration of the compressor 110 .

[0098] Furthermore, in addition to the vibration in the vertical direction generated from the compressor 110 , the remaining vibration is also transferred to the vibration isolator 172 through the stud 174 , and can be effectively vibration-insulated by using the elastic force of the vibration isolator 172 .

[0099] In some embodiments, the stud 174 is described as being vulcanized and bonded to the vibration isolator 172 of the bushing unit 170 , but is not limited thereto.

[0100] That is, the stud 174 may be replaced with an inner ring member that can be bolted to the center of the bushing unit 170 and vulcanized and bonded to the vibration isolator 172 .

[0101] In some embodiments, the refrigeration cycle apparatus 100 may further include a gas-liquid separator 180 configured to separate gaseous refrigerant or liquid refrigerant from the refrigerant condensed or evaporated while passing through the first heat exchanger 122 , the second heat exchanger 124 , or the third heat exchanger 126 .

[0102] In some embodiments, the gas-liquid separator 180 may be mounted on an outer surface of the second fluid piping plate portion 164 and located between the first heat exchanger 122 and the second heat exchanger 124 .

[0103] The refrigerant flowing out of the first heat exchanger 122 , the second heat exchanger 124 , or the third heat exchanger 126 and introduced into the fluid line 102 may flow into the gas-liquid separator 180 .

[0104] The gas-liquid separator 180 may be connected to the at least one valve 130 through the fluid line 102 , and may be connected to the compressor 110 .

[0105] That is, the gas-liquid separator 180 may separate the gaseous refrigerant and the liquid refrigerant from the refrigerant passing through the first heat exchanger 122 , the second heat exchanger 124 , or the third heat exchanger 126 .

[0106] The gas-liquid separator 180 may supply gaseous refrigerant among the refrigerant introduced from the first heat exchanger 122 , the second heat exchanger 124 , or the third heat exchanger 126 to the compressor 110 .

[0107] Therefore, the gas-liquid separator 180 may supply only the gaseous refrigerant to the compressor 110 , thereby improving the efficiency and durability of the compressor 110 .

[0108] Therefore, when the refrigerant cycle device of a vehicle configured as described above is applied and is included in an air-conditioning system for cooling and heating the interior of a vehicle applied to a special purpose vehicle (PBV), the manufacturing cost can be reduced by minimizing the use of pipes while improving the installability of each component.

[0109] Furthermore, according to the present disclosure, heat loss that may occur when the refrigerant moves can be minimized by minimizing the use of pipes through which the refrigerant circulates.

[0110] According to the present disclosure, it is also possible to simplify the layout in a narrow space in the front of the vehicle and improve the installability, assembling, and maintainability by promoting modularization of the refrigerant cycle device 100 .

[0111] Furthermore, according to the present disclosure, it is possible to maximize the indoor space of a vehicle that can be applied to various purposes by mounting the refrigerant cycle apparatus 100 modularized in a special purpose vehicle (PBV) on a vehicle body.

[0112] While the disclosure has been described in connection with what are presently considered to be practical embodiments, it is to be understood that the disclosure is not limited to the disclosed embodiments, but on the contrary, the disclosure is intended to cover various modifications and equivalent arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
