Abstract

A method for inputting Lao in the computer relates to a method for inputting a language in the computer, in particular to a method for inputting Lao in the computer. The invention encodes the Lao characters on the corresponding English letter keys and inputting Lao characters following the sequence of characters that Lao is composed of. The Lao characters correspond to the codes of the English letter keys, and two characters on the same key are selected through the shift key; the inputting order for Lao characters is from left to right; during the spelling process, for Lao letters with an upper sign or a lower sign, the letters are inputted first and then the upper sign or lower sign is added. The four tone signs of Lao are all upper sign characters for Lao letters.
