[0051] As mentioned above, diversity transmission is required mainly in mobility environments, typically for radio mobile systems. This will generally be more useful for systems that take advantage of certain channel diversity benefits in the frequency domain. Some of these systems are based on OFDMA technology, a combination of OFDM robust to channel degradation and FDMA access schemes for multiple access. The problem lies in allocating different streams to the distributed PRBs.
