Abstract

The invention discloses a method used for quickly searching television program information, comprising the steps as follows: mobile terminal equipment which supports China Mobile multimedia broadcast (CMMB) downloads the program information of each channel from an electronic service guide (ESG) server and summarizes into an all-program information list; when the user searches the programs on the mobile terminal equipment, the mobile terminal equipment searches the information of the program in the all-program information list and displays the information of the program. The invention also discloses a device which is used for quickly searching the television program information; the device is arranged inside the mobile terminal equipment which supports the CMMB; the device comprises a program-information gaining unit, a program information providing unit and a memory unit. The method and the device can directly search in all available channel playing program list and save the searchingtime.
