Embodiment Construction

[0020] The present invention will be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which exemplary embodiments of the invention are illustrated.

[0021] figure 1 A flowchart showing an embodiment of a method for sending distress messages by using a mobile terminal according to the present invention.

[0022] like figure 1 As shown, in step 102, the user's mobile terminal is switched from the normal working state to the power saving state. For example, when a special emergency accident occurs, the user switches the mobile terminal from the normal working state to the deep sleep state (power saving state) by pressing the preset rescue mode function key (or key combination) to save power.

[0023] In step 104, the mobile terminal periodically wakes up from the power saving state, and sends a distress message including the location information of the mobile terminal to a predetermined number. The mobile terminal regularly wakes up the termina...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for transmitting distress signals by using a mobile terminal and the mobile terminal. The method includes the following steps: the mobile terminal is switched into a power down mode from a normal working condition; the mobile terminal is awaken from the power down mode at a definite time, and transmits distress short messages including the position information of the mobile terminal to a preset number. The distress signals can be transmitted by the method for transmitting distress signals and the mobile terminal in the invention, thereby being capable of saving electrical power, increasing the persistence of the distress signals, attracting rescues as much as possible, and competing in changes of survival for the user.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to mobile communication technology, in particular to a method for sending distress information by using a mobile terminal and the mobile terminal. Background technique [0002] At present, in the prior art, there are already technical solutions for assisting rescue through mobile terminals such as mobile phones. For example, in Japan, an earthquake-prone country, all mobile phones sold in Japan after April 2008 are equipped with GPS (Global Positioning System, Global Positioning System) receivers at the request of disaster emergency agencies. In this way, even if the caller does not know where he is, rescuers can track the user's location through the GPS receiver on the phone. About 30 percent of mobile phones currently in use in Japan can be tracked by GPS. This is a rescue plan that uses the search and rescue system to check the GPS signal of the mobile phone to find the owner's location. It is a passive method and requires th...
