The methodcomprises the following steps of: receiving the control of a higher-level system, controlling a group of LED street lamps in a same region, transmitting information to the LED street lamp controllerby the ZigBee communication mode when the LED street lamps work abnormally, and using the LED street lamp controller to feed back the information to a control center through a GSM network or a GPRS network. The LED street lamp control method can lead a working staff to directly operate the LED street lamp controller for realizing lighting, off-lighting, detection and other operations of the LED street lamps in the region when the GSM or the GPRS network fails. The invention provides the high-efficiency LED street lamp control method which can simultaneously control a group of LED street lampsand realize automatic control.
