Embodiment Construction

[0077] The present invention proposes a method for mode conversion in robust header compression, which is applied to the compressors and decompressors of profile2 and profile3 for mode conversion. The basic idea is: after the compressor receives the feedback packet carrying the target mode, if Still unable to send the UOR-2 type packet carrying the target mode to the decompressor over a predetermined time, then send an instruction to cancel the mode conversion to the decompressor; after the decompressor receives the instruction to cancel the mode conversion, it ends the mode conversion, thereby quickly Correct the defects in the RFC3095 protocol, and ensure that the mode conversion will not cause deadlock in the process.

[0078] Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Abstract

The invention provides a method and a device for mode conversion in robust header compression, which is used for the mode conversion of a compressor and a decompressor of profile2 and profile3. The method comprises the following steps: after the compressor receives a feedback packet carrying a target mode, a command of canceling mode conversion is sent to the decompressor if a UOR-2 type packet carrying the target mode can not be sent to the decompressor within a preset time; and after the decompressor receives the command of canceling mode conversion, the mode conversion is terminated. The method can effectively correct the defects in the RFC3095 protocol, and ensures that dead lock can not happen to the mode conversion in the aspect of flow.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a robust header compression technology in the field of mobile communication, in particular to a method and device for mode conversion in the robust header compression. Background technique [0002] Due to the limitation of physical conditions, the wireless link in the mobile communication system has a lower transmission rate and a higher bit error rate than the wired link. In order to effectively utilize limited wireless channel bandwidth resources, a robust header compression technology (RObust Header Compress, hereinafter referred to as ROHC) is introduced. The core of ROHC is to transparently compress and decompress the information in the packet header between directly connected nodes by using the information redundancy between the packets of the service flow. The ROHC technology is described by the RFC3095 document of the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force), and was revised by the IETF in February 2007, and the revised ...
