The invention relates to a method for improving the machining properties of Cr18W2 wear-resistant white cast ion. Tungsten alloy-containing white cast ion is a wear-resistant material having the characteristics of high hardness, good wear resistance and the like, and less study reports on the machining properties of the tungsten alloy-containing white cast ion exist at present. The method comprises the following steps of: a. determining the change conditions of a casting-state structure and carbides of the Cr18W2 wear-resistant white cast ion and the relation between the change conditions and the properties according to the change of different alloy contents; b. changing the structure form and the properties of the Cr18W2 wear-resistant white cast ion by using a heat treatment process; and c. carrying out subsequent heat treatment according to utilization requirements. The invention is used for improving the machining properties of the Cr18W2 wear-resistant white cast ion.
