Embodiment Construction

[0038] figure 1 An embodiment of a device 1 according to the invention is shown for measuring the quality of a tampon 10 . The device 1 comprises a sliver horn or horn head 11 , a sliver compacting part 12 and a sensor part 13 . The sliver 10 is moved along its longitudinal axis indicated by arrow 101 . After entering the device 1 , the sliver 10 is compacted in the sliver horn 11 and passes through a narrow measuring channel 14 between the sliver compacting part 12 and the sensor part 13 . The sensor part 13 comprises measuring means for measuring the pressure exerted by the tampon 10 in the measuring channel 14 . Depend on figure 1 The shown elements of the device 1 substantially correspond to those of US-4,864,853A. The subsequent figures depict the sensor part 13 in detail, and this sensor part 13 differs substantially from the prior art.

[0039] FIG. 2 shows three different views of the sensor component 13 , in which some elements are drawn at least partially in a tra...

Abstract

The inventive device for measuring mass of movable fiber band has a compression body for compressing a fiber band, a measuring channel located on the compression body for receiving the compressed fiber band, and a sensor part (13) arranged at a measuring channel for measuring of pressure that is exerted by the fiber band in the channel. The sensor part (13) comprises a scanning element (5) for recording of the pressure, and a measuring body (6) for measuring the pressure, that is in movable and distanced connection to the scanning element. The measuring body (6) is sealed relative to the measuring channel (14) to avoid the contamination of the measuring member (6).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of spinning preparation. According to the preamble of the first claim, the invention relates to a device for measuring the quality of a moving sliver. Background technique [0002] In the spinning mill, the cotton fibers are opened and cleaned and mixed into a web or wool. The web is reformed into bonded strands within the card. To even out the still existing irregularities, several slivers are guided together (in pairs) in the drawing frame unit and the resulting slivers are drawn again. The quality of the sliver can be improved through the combing process. Measuring sliver quality is both beneficial and commonly used. Measurement signals, which can be evaluated to calculate sliver quality characteristics such as sliver count, sliver count variation, quality inhomogeneities, spectrograms, stubs, etc., or can be used to control sliver quality. The most common devices for measuring the quality or thickness of sliv...
