Abstract
The invention discloses a method for starting a wireless communication terminal. The method comprises: configuring Ethernet control module (ECM) sub-equipment and remote network driver interface specification (RNDIS) sub-equipment in a wireless communication terminal; enumerating the wireless communication terminal as the ECM equipment to the operation system of a host computer after the wireless communication terminal is inserted into the host computer and is powered on, determining whether the operation system supports the ECM equipment, and automatically installing the wireless communication terminal through the driving program of the operation system if the operation system supports the ECM equipment; and enumerating the wireless communication terminal as the RNDIS equipment to the operation system if the operation system does not support the ECM equipment, and automatically installing the wireless communication terminal through the driving program of the operation system. The invention simultaneously discloses a device for starting the wireless communication terminal. The method and the device can achieve driver-free automatic startup of the wireless communication terminal so as to improve the experience of users.
