Embodiment Construction

[0033] figure 1 and 2 A known solution for partitioning groups of passenger seats in an aircraft cabin is shown. The description of these figures is limited to the elucidation of the measures by means of which a masking or separation from the rest of the cabin area takes place.

[0034] figure 1 A side view is shown of a portion of an aircraft cabin 1 with a plurality of passenger seats 2 arranged in rows forming a remote aircraft curtain cabin crew lounge layout. In order to separate or divide the cabin area, a curtain 3a is provided, said curtain at figure 1 in the open position and held on the wall 4 in a bundled manner. The curtain 3 a extending to the floor 9 of the passenger cabin 1 is guided in rails integrated in the armrest 5 , which run above the passenger seat 2 and in the region of the hat rack 6 .

[0035] figure 2 Shown is a VIP area 7 within the passenger cabin 1 partially shaded by a curtain 3b. The curtain 3 b guided in a separate curtain rail 8 likewi...

Abstract

The invention relates to a device for creating an individually delimited zone (25) of a passenger cabin (1) in a means of transportation for at least one passenger seat (2). The device comprises a modular cabin element (10) which is attached to fixed guide rails (12) of the passenger seat (2) by way of quick release fasteners (11) so that the position of the element can be varied. Said cabin element (10) is allocated a pull-out, fixable sliding screen (17d) forming a flexible partition element, which extends from the underside of the hat rack (19) or the PSU panel (20) or the contour of the ceiling and in the lateral area in addition to the sidewall lining (31) of the passenger cabin (1) up to the modular cabin element (10), and by means of which an individually delimited zone (25) can be created.

Description

[0001] related application [0002] This application claims priority to U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 61 / 146,784, filed January 23, 2009, and German Patent Application No. 10 2009 005 905.9, filed January 23, 2009, the contents of which are incorporated by reference this application. technical field [0003] The invention relates to a device for partitioning or partitioning areas in the passenger cabin of a vehicle, an aircraft and a method for assembling and operating the device in the passenger cabin. In the present invention, the term "compartment" is understood as a substantially closed compartment or partitioned area within the passenger cabin. Background technique [0004] In order to form separate areas within the passenger cabin, for example cabin crew rest cabins or cabin crew rest facilities are known which comprise curtains guided on curtain rails or curtain panels. This measure, which is only provided in a fixed position, is inflexible, requires a lar...
