The method comprises the following steps that: the device for processing the television program data receives a television program data request message which is sent by the terminal and carried with a terminal identifier, and selects a user authentication module (UAM) matched with the terminal identifier from UAMs in the device; the device determines a television program service key (MSK) acquired by the selected UAM; the device receives scrambled television program data and a program steam key (MTK) which are broadcast by a television program source server through a multimedia broadcast receiving module arranged in the device; and the device decrypts the MTK by using the MSK to acquire a control character (CK), descrambles the scrambled television program data by using the CK and sends the descrambled television program data to a television program data receiving terminal so as to play the television program data.
