The invention provides a system and a method for synchronizing with a multimedia broadcast program, which is used for synchronizing with at least one multimedia program being played. The system comprises a context server and a client device. The context server is configured to provide at least one context event of each multimedia program, the context event is generated based on the occurrence of at least one preset context program in the context content of each multimedia program. The client device is used for receiving and analyzing the context event of each multimedia program to obtain at least one group of context event data of each multimedia program.
