Embodiment

[0037] The embodiment of the present invention is illustrated by using a measured data set on the PlanetLab (6) test platform. Test scenarios such as figure 1 As shown, the network consists of one server node and several end hosts. Due to the large measurement data set, only one of the 10×10 subsets is selected for illustration, as shown in Table 1.

Abstract

The invention provides an available bandwidth predication method based on singular value decomposition. The invention provides the available bandwidth predication method based on singular value decomposition AVBP-SVD, aiming at how to accurately predicate an available bandwidth of any two nodes. The available bandwidth predication method comprises the following steps of: firstly, randomly selecting a part of nodes in a network as reference nodes; mutually detecting an available bandwidth between the reference nodes by the reference nodes to determine an embedded vector space; and then, measuring the available bandwidth between a non-reference node and the reference nodes by the non-reference node and calculating a coordinate of the non-reference node in the whole vector space, thus estimating the available bandwidth between the nodes. Compared with the conventional available bandwidth model and predication method, the available bandwidth predication method is more accurate. The error caused by a bottleneck distribution difference of different network routes is effectively reduced through selecting a proper quantity of measuring points and embedding dimensions.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of network technology, in particular to a time delay prediction method based on singular value decomposition. Background technique [0002] With the continuous advancement of Internet technology, people are no longer satisfied with network connectivity, but pay more attention to network service quality. In recent years, many new network applications have emerged on the Internet, such as grid computing, cloud computing, and multimedia applications. These network applications not only require a small communication delay, but also require high bandwidth resources. Especially for multimedia applications, the available bandwidth directly affects user experience. For these bandwidth-sensitive applications, choosing a transmission link with high available bandwidth is more useful for improving communication quality than choosing a link with low latency. Therefore, the prediction technology of available bandwidth has impor...
