Abstract

The method involves releasing a disengaging clutch connected between an engine (10) and an electric motor in a vehicle drive train, in the motor switching off conditions, and estimating a torque after the release of disengaging clutch, based on deviation of one or more engine torque, engine speed and engine braking of the commanded values for release of the clutch. A crankshaft integrated starter / generator (CISG) is arranged to connect the motor to a transmission and the wheels of vehicle drive train mechanically.
