An embodiment of the invention discloses a display device and an image display method thereof. The display device comprises a display panel. The display panel comprises at least one pixel unit, each pixel unit comprises at least one sub-pixel unit, and each sub-pixel unit comprises a first partition pixel portion, a second partition pixel portion, a first thin film transistor, a second thin film transistor, a capacitor and a switch unit. The first thin film transistor is connected with a first scanning line, a first data line and the first partition pixel portion. The second thin film transistor is connected with the first scanning line, the first data line and the second partition pixel portion. The capacitor is used for receiving charge of the second partition pixel portion. The switch unit is used for opening a first current channel in a two-dimensional display mode and closing the first current channel in a three-dimensional display mode. When the display device is in the two-dimensional display mode, large viewing angle color shift can be prevented, and left eye and right eye images are ensured to have same brightness when the display device is in the three-dimensional display mode, so that discomfort of eyes of a viewer can be avoided.
