Abstract

The invention discloses an air conditioner and a coolant leakage warning method for the air conditioner. The method includes: detecting indoor temperature and indoor heat exchange pipe coil temperature; calculating temperature difference between the indoor temperature and the indoor heat exchange pipe coil temperature; acquiring operating parameters of a compressor when the temperature difference between the indoor temperature and the indoor heat exchange pipe coil temperature is smaller than a preset temperature threshold; calculating power of the compressor according to voltage and current of the compressor; comparing the calculated power of the compressor with a preset nominal power of the compressor at the same rotation speed to judge whether coolant of the air conditioner is leaked or not; giving out warning information if the coolant of the air conditioner is leaked. By combination of temperature difference judgment and compressor power difference judgment, coolant leakage conditions of the air conditioner can be detected accurately, and misjudgment rate is decreased. In addition, power of the compressor is calculated by means of software algorithms according to existing signal data of the compressor, so that hardware cost is reduced on the premise that accuracy is guaranteed.
