Abstract

The invention discloses a method for polling among multiple servers. The method comprises the following steps of dividing virtual servers, and associating the virtual servers with adjacent servers; ranking the adjacent servers; in one round of polling, according to a ranking sequence, responding to a request through the adjacent servers one by one; dividing the surfaces of the servers into multiple facets; arranging infrared temperature measuring equipment which covers all the facets on the surface of each server chassis; establishing a three-dimensional model for each of the servers, and also dividing the surface of each three-dimensional model into multiple facets; converting temperature values to colour values, and assigning the corresponding colour values to each of the facets of the corresponding three-dimensional model; in polling, under the condition that the quantity of the facets which exceed a preset colour value exceeds a preset quantity of the facets, transmitting the request to the virtual servers; under the condition that the quantity of the facets which exceed the preset colour value exceeds a preset quantity of the facets, transmitting the request to the adjacent server of which the quantity of the facets which exceed the preset colour value is minimum. By applying the method, a big customer volume is supported, and the load of each of the servers is balanced.
