Abstract

The invention relates to a cable pay-off device for a downhole instrument and a pay-off method. The cable pay-off device for the downhole instrument comprises a cable storage cavity, wherein the cable storage cavity is formed in the downhole instrument and comprises a rotating shaft assembly, a clutch and a collector ring assembly; the rotating shaft assembly is arranged in the cable storage cavity and is used for coiling a cable; the clutch is connected with the rotating shaft assembly and is used for controlling the rotating direction of the rotating shaft assembly; the collector ring assembly comprises a rotor and a stator, which are matched with each other; the rotor is connected with the cable coiled on the rotating shaft assembly; and the stator is connected with a wire inlet end of the downhole instrument. Therefore, the cable pay-off device has the advantages that (1) power supply and information transmission of a downhole drilling tool can be effectively ensured by synchronous pay-off of the cable while drilling; (3) enough cable can be stored, so that the drilling depth of a downhole drilling device can be effectively improved and the drilling cost is reduced; and (3) the drilling depth of the downhole tool can be effectively measured by an advanced cable pay-off method.
